Help Google maps - my places

[ignant]

Coming from an HTC EVO3D, I can access addresses saved in my places with Google maps but I cant seem to do so in the GS5. Extremely helpful for navigation. I can only access the starred addresses now. Any known apps that can fix that or workarounds?

Thanks

Tap the user profile icon next to the search bar in the maps app. Should bring up a short list of your favorite locations/my maps

Correct but what I see are the ones I simply starred from Google maps but its not descriptive. It shows the address only where as the ones I saved in my places, I have a description of the location.

Yeah it seems when google merged the maps and navigate functions the custom titles for favorites went away.

Yes and very annoying it is too as I liked 'My Places'

You can use 'My Places' if you access Maps through browser though
