Help Google maps navigation help needed

Hi guys,

When I'm using the navigation feature in my galaxy s the screen will turn itself off after some time. The time it takes for the back light to turn off vary each time. The time out setting goes from like 10 seconds to 30 mins, there us no option for never. Is there a way to keep it on? Its very frustrating on long journeys when the screen keeps going off.

If you go to settings>applications>development check "stay awake" and you're screen won't blank while plugged in. That said, my phone doesn't sleep while using Google navigator. It will sleep using Google maps.

You need an app called KeepScreen download it from the market. It allows you to select which apps keep the screen on when being used.

that's odd, it should automatically stay on when navigation is open, must be a bug.
you could also try widgetsoid from the market, you can make customizable widgets of practically any size, including always on for screen.
