Google Maps Navigation Help

Hey everyone, I am looking for a link to download the beta version of Google Maps Navigation and I can not find it at all. I have a Hero and really want this. Any help?
 
A few threads and many many post about this.

The OS on the Hero wont run it so it doesnt show in your Market.

If I remember correctly you have to have Android 1.6 or higher and the Hero only has 1.5.
 
no one knows if they are gonna update the hero to 1.6.. all you can do right now is hope
