Google Maps/Navigation

I dont know if this is a dumb question but can you set a "home" location for the GPS? I have a TomTom and when I wanna get home, I just click home and it remembers my addy and takes me there. I want that on my phone. I tried looking for it, but I couldnt find it. Anyone know?

I have that question as well. Maybe you can use a Starred location for that purpose.
You can do this or you can create a navigation shortcut on one of your home screens that will automatically load up the navigation with your home address.

Why do you need another app? You can add all the "places" you want on Maps and just click them to go there. Or just click an address in contacts and it goes to Maps, and you can navigate from there. You can also download any areas you need, so you can navigate without a network.

I just use google contact. I have a HOME contact in google contact with my home address in the address field. So when I want to navigate home, I just go to Navigation > Contact > HOME.

I just create a shortcut on my home screen. Just long press to get your "add to screen" menu, select "shortcut" and then select "directions & navigation". Enter your address, select an icon, and you're done. Easy as pie, and no third party app needed.

You can either find a nav app that has the feature or use one of the approaches above.

I have a short cut on my home screen and car dock home screen. I have it starred in my favorites too. Works just as good as your TomTom.

I use the home screen shortcut as someone posted earlier with the long press-- add shortcut-- the Google nav app then walks you through it and even gives you a choice of icons to add to the home screen.
