google maps odd issue

Using my dinc, trying to find the distance from two points. Can NOT do this as it always sets my current location as one of the starting points. Any ideas?

Try clicking on menu>More>Labs>and chose measure.
It let you tap two point on the map and give you the distance.
I'm on GM 4.7

Or hit menu-get directions. Type starting point in the first box, and ending point in the second.

Yeah, cause the other way only let you measure a straight line between two points on the maps.
