Hi there,
I have an HTC One X. While using Google Maps a couple of days ago, I zoomed into an address in Bratislava, Slovakia. I then selected to 'precache map area' as I have the labs extension 'precache maps' installed.
I think the precaching process crashed or was not able to complete for some reason.
Since then, every time I look at the same area on the map, Google Maps crashes.
I've tried clearing cache/data of Google Maps. I've tried uninstalling the updates to it, then re-installing them. I've tried doing all of the above and then disabling the app, restarting the phone and then re-enabling it. Lastly, I've tried a hard reset (without deleting data on /sdcard).
I can confirm that after clearing data/cache that the sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps directory gets removed, so that presumably confirms that the cache has actually cleared. Is that where precaching stores it's caches?
Any help/ideas on resolving it would be much appreciated.
