Help Google Maps Travel By Car Option Gone

I was just about to make a trip when Google Maps has only two modes of transportation:
Train and walking.

The car option disappeared with no explanation.

And no where on the web can I find a place that addresses this.

"WTF" indeed. I see icons for car, public transportation, walking and bicycle when I select navigation in Maps. On Verizon, 5.0.1 just for the record.

Best fix is probably to use WAZE.

No I'm kidding.. I know you want to solve your problem not switch softwares.. I can't seem to find any info or find a way to remove or add anything in any settings so you have a weird bug. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

BTW WAZE does kick ass. Love the cops and traffic warnings
