Google Maps update error

The update to Google Maps that was installed a few days ago gives incorrect navigation to my home. Previously it indicated the correct Interstate exit, then 6 miles of rural roads.

Since the recent update, it tells me to take an exit that is 9 miles farther on, then 7 miles of rural roads back to home, with "home" misplaced by about 3/8 mile. If I force a re-calculate by taking the originally correct exit, Maps directs me past the last 1-mile road segment turnoff and into an absurd loop of many miles on county roads.

Anybody else notice such problems in your locale?

That is weird.

Hopefully they will get it straightened out soon. Which version is that now?

I can't see where to uninstall updates but I wonder if clearing the app's cache would make any difference?

I'll see how mine acts here in a bit. Road trip! :)

Have you had a chance to try it yet? I'm still on 6.14.4 and it works well.

After emptying the cache and data, 6.14.2 has the same results, so it seems to me to be the data source for navigation that is broken. They both (*.2 and *.4) now ignore the needed Interstate exit and send the user an additional 16 miles to a destination that was previously working properly. Taking the needed exit results in 5 miles of "Rerouting ..." along named roads, yet still navigates an additional 11 miles of un-needed loop even when within 1 mile of the contact's (myself) destination on paved county roads.

It's looking like I'll have to open a technical issue with the Google Map Team.

Yes, I believe it's probably unique to my specific area then. Thanks all for the informative feedback. Local problems also exist in Garmin maps ... it was just so good to revel in Google Map's accuracy until this very recent Google data error.
