Google maps update issue

Hi All
New here so not sure if this is the right place to post this . I have updated google maps on my samsung Galaxy mini s5570 but its missing features like my places and location.The menu only has:
Settings/Directions/clear map/Make avalible offline/settings/Help

Looked in settings but can't find any other options. Anyone else having the same issue

Thanks for the reply. For some reason I don't have the maps icon on the upper left corner??

In the upper left corner should be the (new) Mapps icon with "Maps".
Tap on "Maps" should get you a pop up menu.

I think, you'd uninstall the Maps update and then reinstall it.

Settings, Apps, choose Maps ...

Phew, I thought it was just me this has been driving me nuts all day.

Having exactly the same problem on my Galaxy Y (ST5363), with only the same options as the original poster and no button in the top left.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled but it makes no difference.

Did you sort your problem Rhy's?

No change. Uninstalled from the settings menu and reinstalled but still the same issue, love to get a fix for this

Done a bit of rooting around last night, it seems to be a known issue and Google are aware.

The Maps update has caused problems with HTC phones as well.
