Google maps update

I have a samsung Galaxy mini GT-5770 android version 2.3.5. The latest google maps update shows a different screen than the one on my ph even though I have upated to the latest maps version. Why is this

May we see that difference or will you keep us guessing? Please post screenshots so that we know what you are talking about. A picture paints a thousand words.
 
Yes sorry, here we go. The first is my maps screen and the second image is the googles maps from the android site.

I have the latest updates installed but for some reason my screen differs from the new updates.

You have to zoom in big time for it to show 3d buildings


You also have to be in a fairly populated area. It looks like youre out in the boonies

Its not so much the 3d building its more the screen layout. On the top left screen of the new updates there is the map icon which you launch that brings up: Local, Navigation My places, etc.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.maps&hl=en look here to see what I mean. Mine has not changed as you can see in the fist image even after the updates

Thank you for the clarification.

The phone in the image on the play store is running pure Google jelly bean. Its a nexus device. I imagine you are on an older version of android. I am on jellybean as well and have attached a screensot in my device

I imagine the differences in android version is accounting for your older layout
