I have Google Maps and Nav on my Galaxy 2. I love it. In my job I do lots of travelling around my region for shift work at different sites. I also have Waze which is good, interactive and shows my speed too. I would love it if google showed vehicle speed, as I prefer their app to Waze. I use the 'where I am now' as opposed to the 'where am I going' unless driving to a completely alien place!!
I would also like it if google gave an audio warning when approaching speed traps which Waze does both of. But trying to contact google is like trying to talk to a mythical god.
I asked the police which was more accurate when driving - speed indication on my sat or the reading off the speedometer. They said to use the sat nav speed every time, its accurate to within 1 MPH. Its also different by approx 5 - 8 miles an hour (slower) to the speedometer. So when you drive by speedo at 30, you are actually doing 25. When driving at 80 on the speedo, you are actually doing 71-72.
