I'm trying my Google navigation out in my town and it's taking my through neighborhoods to get home instead of the most direct route. I has me circling around areas to get me back instead of the direct route. It's like it can only see 1 way and won't change until i'm almost there. I can't fine any options to change how it looks at routes. If I was in a big city I could not trust it to get there in the best, fastest, or shortest route. If i was towing something it would be worthless as I'd be driving through neighborhoods instead of the main streets. Am I doing something wrong?

I think all gps units do that. You can choose alternate routes on top of the screen usually. Otherwise just take the main road and it will quickly recalculate the route accordingly.

Google navigation is for everyone, but you can also choose navigation App that are best for you particular location, something like country-wise.

Sort, of local App that works best for your reachable location. I hope you got what i mean to say!
