Google maps

I updated the firmware the other day on my NOTE2 and it also updated all my software. I had been using the older version of Google Maps as the latest is a pain. However, I went to uninstall the updates so I could revert back to a previous version and it won't let me. It just gives the option of "Force stop" or "Disable". The "uninstall updates" or "uninstall" is not an option. Also, under Application Manager, it only shows in the ALL section and not in the DOWNLOADED section. Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately uninstall won't work. I went through the same thing with last update when they switched to new Google Maps. You gotta search around to find old apk. The last version I found before their big update was Maps_6_14_4.apk, just Google for it. But afterwards, I just gave up and updated to the latest version because I wanted to see waze traffic reports (added in new version).

I can switch my maps from v7.3.0 to 6.14.2 by uninstalling the updates. I do this because you can't star an arbitrary location anymore in v7.3.0. So if I want to mark an obscure cow pasture in Kansas, I can still do it by going back to 6.14.2.
