Help Google Music / battery

Anyone else notice Google Music sucking battery life from your phone? Every day, I see 30-40% of my battery usage being Google Music - but I haven't used the app in at least a week. Is there any way to prevent this? Not sure if there's a better way to leave the app? (there isn't a 'close' option or anything)

If I don't use Google Music it does not show up in battery usage. I would clear cache and force close and see if that helps
