Help Google Navigation

I have tried to use navigation on my Galaxy S a couple of times since I got it last week, but each time after a few minutes of operation the screen goes blank... the voice commands still come through though.

Anyway one else experience this?

I don't think that's it... not completely anyway. I think it's got something to do with losing signal. I managed to get all the home with it tonight without it going blank. And guess what... clear blue skies!

Are you receiving text messages when it goes blank? Mine goes blank when I get a text message. I use chompsms and think it may have something to do with it but haven't had time to narrow down the problem.

I'm using a HTC legend.
