Help Google now and S-Voice

I find myself using Google Now so much. S-voice is ok, but I don't really care for it. Is there a way to assign google now to the home key instead of S-voice? I don't wanna root my phone btw. Any help is appreciated.

I downloaded and tried it. I was unable to get it to work. Thanks for the advice though. The GS3 would be so awesome without s-voice, or if they'd tweak it a bit. There's potential for it, it just isn't what it could be yet.

You could try nova launcher(or another launcher), it allows you to set what the home button does.

And you prob know but to disable s voice you can go into s voice and under settings disable that setting

I have Nova Launcher Prime which has gestures available. I think I first went into S-voice settings to turn off the home key double tap. I definitely disabled S-voice. I set the swipe up gesture in Nova to launch Dragon (my voice assistant), but you can set it to voice search which will load Google voice.

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying?

Hey Chris. I feel the same about Google Now and S-Voice as you. Try holding down your Menu button (soft key to the left of the Home button) from the home screen. Works for me.

Since the newer Android model phones removed the search button, holding down the Menu button brings up the Google Search now. And for Jelly Bean users, Google Search is integrated with Google Now. So it's the fastest short cut for me as of right now.

Edit: Just remembered. Hold down the Home button. At the bottom of the screen 3 icons show up. The middle icon is Google Now and this can be done from any screen.
