Hi all, first post on the forums, appreciate any help you can provide.
I've got a galaxy S3 unlocked, running it on Three network.
Updated to 4.1.1 last month and was really excited to use Google Now. However it isn't going at all to plan.
In order to save many people asking the questions, I have activated pretty much everything you need in order to set up Google Now.
I have activated web history, enabled location settings, set my location to update automatically, enabled sync, enabled GPS, enabled location history, switched on Search from google.com, enabled Show Recent Searches, etc etc. (I think i have listed everything).
Sooooo I open Google Now and receive a "No Connection" message at the bottom. At the top, i can see some lovely mountains with the google search bar. I click refresh and the "No Connection" just reappears.
I click in the search bar, and my recent searches from both Chrome Browser on my laptop and chrome browser on my mobile appear. Then, i can search for anything and it pops up, proving that my internet connection works.
As a test, i then activate my WIFI, open Google Now and all of a sudden, Cards are appearing, telling me the share price of my Company, the weather where i am, how long it takes me to get to work and what the traffic is like.
Then, switch off wifi and what happens? You got it - No Connection.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've searched all over the internet and can't find anything that matches the problem i'm having.
