Help Google Now not working properly?

[gregwegmann]

In my first days of messing around with my Google Nexus I found Google Now to be quite interesting. It could pull up and state many definitions right in the Google Note app along with any weather forecast I needed etc. Now when I ask for weather it simply opens chrome and pulls up the forecast. When I ask for a definition it opens Chrome again with no Google Now voice involved. Did I change some setting to prevent it from telling me the answers instead of opening Chrome right away?

Welcome to AF Greg, open google now, head to settings, voice. Is it set to Always Speak or Hands free?

Thanks and It's set to always speak. I tried the weather just now and it started speaking then stopped and opened chrome

Sorry to hijack this thread. Can anyone tell me if its possible to disable the swipe up action that launches Google now. I find it really frustrating when playing games like Temple Run and I accidentally launch it.
