Could someone post the best settings for google now, i have looked at several sites but the more i read the more confused i get.

Edit to add -

See all settings in post #5

The whole point of google now is to tailor it to each individual.
So play with it and just make changes as you go.

When i go into privacy and accounts/ manage / location settings i haven't a clue what to tick or leave as is.

Do these settings make any difference ?

If it always knows where you are, and/or where you are searching from, doesn't that burn a LOT of battery by continually using GPS? Or is it only a little more battery?

I'm not certain but I don't think google now uses gps. It uses cell tower triangulation and wifi positioning (if you have wifi on). I thought it would still pulse the gps occasionally but I don't think it does which makes sense as how would it know when to use gps without switching on gps to see if its useful which would be a big battery hog? Cell tower plus wifi positioning is actually really good on its own assuming you're not in the middle of nowhere I guess!

I don't have latitude, can't find it in the play store. is there another name? I have Sprint, does that make a difference?

Is it on Stock yet. I have updated to the latest version, and can't find it in the apps list. On version 4.1
