Help Google Now

No, you can set Home and Work manually. Theres an option to do it thru maps, but its easier to just go to maps.google.com , be logged into your account and click on "My Places" , then set the addresses in Home and work. After I did that the traffic cards popped up after refreshing.

Not technically a no. My answer does indeed work but if you're impatient, you can go your route too. ;)

Because you have Location History enabled on your account, or thru another device. Those of us who have this disabled, it won't work for. For those that do, you're right it should pick up your locations, eventually.

Presumably since I use latitude on my phone, it already figured out that I'll be stopping for coffee in the morning. It already has a tile up for me. Smart. It knows I need the caffeine. :D

Google Now isn't really working for me. One issue I'm having is that I can't edit teams for the sports card. And cards I have requested to always show up are not appearing.

To get a sports team on you have to ask a question about it. Like did yourteam win the game or did yourteam play tonight. Then you can go into settings google now sports where it will show up. Only sports that are on like currently like baseball I am waiting to see how it is with football season. Traffic and stuff usually pops up once I leave the house with GPS on, also hitting show more cards gets them to come up

I have searched for the team I want to follow. It will say "the blue Jays beat the red sox..." but this doesn't seem to be triggering a card.

I have my web history turned off, because sometimes I search for... stuff... on my desktop :D I guess this means Google Now will be less useful to me?

Try incognito mode, or even a different browser for... stuff...
I guess you mean presents for your partner which would spoil the surprise if they found them right?
