Google Now

Not sure which forum to put this in. My HTC One S has just had an update to Jelly Bean which means I can now play with Google Now.

However I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. It seems that the only way I can get access to the cards is to open up on the Google Search widget, which then shows the weather cloud, and sometimes I have to click on 'show more cards' in order to show the traffic one.

A guy I work with has just got a Nexus 4 and apparently his traffic one popped up automatically.

Am I doing something wrong?

Couple tips. If you use Chrome on your pc, be sure to sign in with your Google account and allow it to collect search history.
Other thing, you can pin common locations in Maps (work, home, etc). That way, it'll give you directions and/or traffic.
Last tip is to give it time. Now learns over time and gets better. :)

yep I have been using it signed in. Should I have to hit the google search in order to display the cards or should they pop up somewhere?

Not sure if your device is any different than mine, but I generally get things in the notification bar. Usually just directions or traffic.

Ah just realised it's in the notification tray to pull down. It shows the weather one but also additional cards to click on

In the settings for Google Now you can also configure certain things like your HOME and WORK locations so it can give you traffic updates.
