Google Now

With GN active do cards pop up on the screen, or do you have to use the pull-down screen and tap on a notification? The latter is what I am currently experiencing.

Hold the home button for half a second and you will get a semi circle that says "google". Then swipe up.

Google now doesn't naturally pop up anything on screen. But perhaps that is available through a third party.
