Posted here to make everyone aware of the new Play Store that is available.
I would guess that you need to be rooted to install now, but you will all be getting this sooner or later.

Totally new interface, and very nice it is too.

Apart from the big UI change, the only difference I can see in terms of the settings/options is that there is no longer the pin-protect for purchases option. Instead, the option requires you to supply your google account password instead.

Don't allow outside links to APK downloads, and the file is already posted here pn the Phandroid main page, for days

UPDATE I like this much better than the old Play Store. Good layout and fast loading.

You don't need to be rooted to install an .apk file.

I would like to see if you would say the same if someone posted an APK from an outside source and it damaged your phone and we did nothing about it, and as mentioned for days now, the link is posted safely on our Phandroid home page. So have a great day and sorry it did not suit your needs

The latest version of the Google Play Store, 4.1.10, certainly seems to have fixed the battery draining location bug on previous versions that also, sometimes, gave inaccurate locations on some devices. Have been using it for a couple of days now and am getting fewer wakelocks with it. Well done Google!
