Help Google Play and background data

Many - most - times when I attempt to access Google play on my N4 I get the message- background data disabled: Google Play store needs background data to be enabled. I hit the enable button and sync my gmail account but that doesn't work. Do I need to enable ALL the listed apps? AAAAGGHHHH!!!!

If you head to Settings -> Data Usage -> Google Play Store, is background data enabled there (no tick in the box)? Likewise for Google Play Services?

Worked on reboot. Thanks! didn't know about that spot. Learn something every day. NOW if they ever send 4.4 . .. .. .
