Google Play and syncing music...

Greetings...

I have heard great a many things about this forum's community, so I wanted to ask you all a question if you would be so kind. Hopefully it hasn't been asked before.

I am beginning to slowly rip my CDs to digital media. I am using Google Music. When I do so, Google Music recognizes I have new music and promptly adds it to my library. In doing so, it also downloads it to my HTC EVO Design and my Nexus 7.

I have a huge library and I know I will run out of space on my phone and eventually my tablet. Is there a way to add these songs to my Google Music library only and stream them without the actual media being downloaded onto my devices?

I thought the new 'matching' service would rectify this problem but my music is still being downloaded on my devices.

Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

Vince

are you 100% sure as google play is could storage. turn on flight mode and see if the music is still accessible? if not then its working as it should.

Google Play Music will only download the music onto local storage if you "pin" the song/album/artist etc. I think they call it "Keep On Device" now.
