google play books

Hi,

I bought a book from google play and read it on play books. Then I deleted it and can't seem to get it back unless I go to the store.

Most of my books are old epubs, so this situation hasn't cropped up before.

When I go to the store and search for the book, it gives me the option to read it, which opens it in play books. BUT when I close the book *poof* it's gone and I have to go back to the store.

???

Anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried downloading it to your tablet?

It won't let me.

The book is still on my phone. But it doesn't appear on the web store and is not listed under purchases.

Gaah. I'll probably have to extract it from the phone, un-drm it and then upload it.



So if deleting a finished book isn't a good idea, what am I supposed to do with it? There's no archive function.

Just in case anyone else experiences this issue, I have resolved it by calling Google.

The book was "hidden" as a result of being deleted. To unhide it, visit google play on the pc, click the gear icon and select 'my orders'. In the list of orders each item has a menu icon. One of the options is to show or hide it from your library.


I also suggested that they devise a method of archiving or sorting finished books.
