Google Play Edition for Verizon

Is there any chance that there will eventually be a google play edition of the Moto X with stock android for Verizon? I'm on unlimited and want to keep it, so I will be buying my next phone (I'm still rocking the original Droid Incredible) unsubsidized. I know it's close to stock, but...

Will Verizon allow it?

There's going to be a developer edition for Verizon, but I don't think a Google Play version is coming. Google only sells unlocked GSM or Wifi only devices on Google Play and Verizon is a CDMA carrier. Unlocked/Open and Verizon are antonyms.

I fully expect Red to charge more for the Developer Edition than the standard 32GB Moto X. Why? Because we can root it and remove any bloatware that it comes with, for which they receive good money.

Is the bloat that lucrative? Must be: check out all the bloatware on the Droid Maxx.

They don't want those removed: so I betcha they'll charge us more to make up the difference in revenue.
