Just curious, AW; I'm trying to create an "Andy" avatar in the 'spirit' of benslgdroid (member here), using the same animation but different attire. Could you (or anyone else) point me in the direction of the apps or software needed to do it?

Please be more specific. What animation are you referring to?

I'm guessing that it would fall under the 3D catagory; Pixar-type

You would want to learn opengl and get handy with any 3d software. I would recommend blender for 3D renders.
