Google Play not working

Every single apparently on the store says it isn't compatible with my phone, apart from 2 or three. When I go and download the apk from 4shared is is fine. Apps like Amazon, Facebook, and Astro won't download. I know they should work, because Amazon crashed, so I uninstalled it, and when I tried to download it again it said it wasn't compatible. I tried a factory reset, but that didn't help. I am on a stock UK Tom, and any help would be appreciated.

I am a bit confused here. Is your phone an Atrix, or a Defy?:confused:
 
I have no real way of knowing what might be the problem, but I would try to uninstall the updates to Google Playstore, and see if that works. If it doesn't help, you can reinstall the updates again. If all else fails, call your service provider, and have their technicians do some troubleshooting.

What OS are you running? I have Facebook and Amazon. Even used Astro. No problems. I'm running GB.
