Help Google Play on Fire HD

I've read online in various places that with a bit of modification you can access and use Google Play on the Fire HD.

As it stands I can access most GP apps by downloading them to my pc then transferring them to my Kindle but none of the ones associated with Google (Google+, Chrome, Hangouts etc) will work properly as the device isn't associated with a Google account or something.

Is there anything I can do to get all the Google settings on my Kindle?

I realize it's been a while since this question was asked, but I just saw it now! If you're still interested, please post. I have a Kindle Fire HD, rooted, and I run Google Play on it just fine.

I just unboxed mine and was wondering the same thing. Haven't really explores the forums until now so any info will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
