Help Google play services and battery life

Google Play services was updated yesterday. Has it had any impact on your battery life?

We can hope! Haven't gotten the rollout on this yet.

My previous impressions of the battery drain problem was that it was an intermittent one which, once it started happening within a given powered-on period, would drain the battery by 50% or more within just a few hours of inactivity. I would usually see this happen at least once per day, and it would stop for a while after a restart. But I haven't had it happen yet since this latest Play Services update. I got my update just prior to my initial post on this thread, so it's been two days now.

We might be done with this problem.

That would be awesome. I am getting the drain problem less and less and doing reboots when I notice it, that has been working to get me by but still kinda a p.i.t.a.
