We are both in the UK.

Can anyone help me out please?

I believe that if you tap apps on your menu you will get another menu. At the top of that second menu is a banner that says "Apps". Tap that and you get the menu that has the "My Apps" choice. At least that's how mine works.

Thank you for your post. However, there are currently 23 different models of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and over 1,000 different stock Samsung firmware versions covering 3 different Android platforms. Not all issues affect all models or firmware releases and your answers to the following question/s may help in the forum's answers to your specific query.

#1 Could you post your Model number and Android version...

To locate these, go to...

Settings > More > About device > Model number and Android version

This will give you the model of Samsung Galaxy S4 that you have and which Android version you are on.

#2. Your current Firmware version, (this feature has been disabled on some models. If so, give your Baseband from #1, above)...

To locate your current firmware version, go to the stock, Samsung, dial pad and type in...

*#1234#

This will give you your, "Version", details in full, usually 3 lines of information which may all be relevant.

#3. Also helpful would be your carrier, (service provider), and if your phone is rooted or not and running a custom ROM, (give details).

Thanks. The above helps us to help you and hopefully someone will be able to reply to you shortly. :)

(Tip: You can go to the green bar at the top of this forum and click on, "User CP", which will take you to your User Control Panel and then select, "Edit your details", under the heading, "Your profile", on the left hand side. Here you can fill in your model and firmware under, "Current devices", in, "Additional Information". This ensures that your device details are shown under your user name on the left, in every post you make. You can update this as often as you like and will help other users immediately identify your current phone and firmware details.)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

In answer to your questions....

Sure in Guernsey is my carrier and the phone is brand new and not rooted

As per #2, there should be 3 lines of information under, "Version". Theses include AP and most importantly of all, CSC: You will need to do this for both phones.

EDIT. Just noticed, those are screenies of the Google Play Store in the Opera browser. One has selected MY APPS and the other has selected SHOP.

AP I9505xxufnb8

CP I9505xxufnb8

CSC I9505btufnb3

The screenshots were mine on the right and my friends on the left

it only allows me to Shop Apps and nothing else

There should be an arrow, "<", to the left that allows you to show the full menu. Are you both running Opera in desktop or mobile mode?

Try it on a PC or install the Chrome browser.

Hi,

The screenshots were from my pc in a full version of Opera. It doesn't matter if it is on the PC or on the Phone. The result is the same when you put the phones side by side. There is only a "<" on the one phone which shows all shop contents. Maybe it has something to do with Guernsey? Although we are both located in Guernsey and both on the Sure network

In each screenshot, are you both individually signed in on the computer to your own gmail accounts?

What does it show in your respective phone browsers if you both navigate to this link...

https://play.google.com/apps

Hi,

I signed in first and then signed out and they did the same straight afterwards. The result of the link is that the picture I submitted earlier is the same as the one on the right but the other account has that "<"

... and you both have credit/debit cards linked to your Play Store accounts?

yes, albeit different ones but the post code both begin with "GY"

OK... since you are both on the same firmware, CSC code BTU, you will both have the latest/same Play Store version. You are both signed in and are both registered on gmail... b*ggered if I know then!

It will be something simple that we have missed.
