Google play store not working at all

Dust41

Lurker
I recently got a Droid X2 from verizon and it had the latest AOKP update with ICS and the Play store just says server cannot connect. I have tried clearing cache and resetting and flashing a new ROM and everything and still it says it can't connect. i've been using 3rd party things like pandaapp but i'd like to use the store. I have never accessed it on any accounts so i can't download from my PC.

Dust41, welcome to the site :D!

You are sure that you have a gmail account and signed in to it via your device, right?

Otherwise, there have been several times over the years that sometimes the market or google play store is just having network problems of its own.

good luck

If your play store isn't working you could search your device on Google and look for the Play Store .APK file and side load it onto your device to see if that works.

Otherwise you might want to take it back into your carrier and see if it works. :)

Thanks, That's the only thing I haven't tried yet I'll see if that works.

Edit: No it didn't work still get error connecting to store.

Glad you got it fixed and thanks so much for reporting back that you did so and how. Could be immensely useful for the readers.
