Root google play store

I just had to reflash eclipse and everythings running fine except I can't update the market to the google play store. It asks if i accept for the update and i do but nothing happens and the market remains. I tried installing the google play store apk but it just says not installed after i try installing it. Any ideas on what i can do or should i just try installing eclipse again?

Maybe just try starting over since you're on a fresh flash anyway. I'm on Eclipse 2.2 and don't recall having any trouble when it switched to Play Store.
