I am new to this, I wanted to ask why google play store apk has to be installed in system folder, rather than just installing it like other apk,like just installing from sd,but when you install from sd it never opens. I have all other gapps working except google play always says unfortunately google play store has stopped, so i assume this is because its not installed in system/app. I have tried every solution to this problem such as clearing data and cache. Thank you for any advice

So you do not have Play on your device? Are you running a custom Rom or recovery? If not then you should be able to do a factory reset and get it back. If you're running a custom Rom then you can re-flash the Rom.

its on the device just wont open always unfortunately google play has stopped
