Hello and welcome to the forums Missy1 - thanks for joining!! 
If you head to Google Play Store Updated To Version 3.8.17 [Download], you can grab the apk. You should be able to install it on your phone with that.
It is worth noting that you may have to go "menu=>settings=>security" and then tick the "unknown sources" box in order that your phone let you put an app on it that isn't downloaded fromthe market Google Play
