Google Playstore Download Delay

Why there is always a delay before download starts in Playstore app???

It depends on your internet speed I guess. When I click download it starts immediately for me.

I just remembered that this happens only when using 2G slow internet, not on Wi-fi..

I have no delay with WiFi or 4G.

I've seen this over the years from time to time, even with a fast wifi connection. Rare, but it happens. It can be app specific too with one app d/l instantly yet another taking several minutes to complete. I'm guessing a temporary hiccup in the G mothership?

Are you downloading multiple apps at the same time? It will only download one at a time so there is a delay when you install an app while one is already downloading.
