AOSP isn't the same as OTA I'm afraid. We're still waiting on that.

Nice, I guess they won't make us wait a lot longer then
Took them long enough but I wasn't as impatient as I was with 2.2, which was my first real update.
I just hope they used all the extra time to iron out the kinks and make gingerbread run smooth as butter right from the start

nah ,they never get it right the first time ,that's why there are updates

What this means is that ROM developers like Cyanogen and team Douche can start to incorporate or cook up an entirely new ROM of 2.3 goodies.

Cyanogen tweeted that he will be holed up for three days some I'm hoping on the fourth we can get a taste of Ginger Bread!
