I'm thinking about switching over to using Google+ from Twitter but I have a couple questions for some of you that are more familiar with it.

1. Does/is there a way to have Google+ remember your position?

2. Is there a way to save/send an article from say USA Today to Pocket for offline reading?

3. Is there a way to be notified when there is a new posting from someone you're following (like push notifications or something)?

You can configure G+ to use your location whenever you post.

2. Is there a way to save/send an article from say USA Today to Pocket for offline reading?

Not sure what you are asking here. I would think that any app or browser you use to read a USA today article would have some way to share it to Pocket. Would it be a function of your browser? When you use G+ to open an article, it usually opens it up in a browser.

3. Is there a way to be notified when there is a new posting from someone you're following (like push notifications or something)?

There are various notification settings you can configure. I'm looking at my notification settings in my G+ app now. You can toggle the following on an off: Mentions, shares, comments, comments on a post after I've commented, circle subscriptions, Adds me to a circle, Tags me, Comments on a photo that I am tagged in, Comments on a photo that I've tagged, Photos added from Auto-backup, Invitations or updates to events, Reminders about events that I'm invited to, Activity on events that I've created, and Invites me to a Community.

There is no notification for posts specific people in your circles. I would say that there are so many posts that your phone would be playing a notification sound every few minutes depending on who is in your circles.

There is no notification for posts specific people in your circles.

But you can make it so certain circles will give a notification when they post. I put my wife in a circle that gives me a notification when a post is made. I have her there in addition to her other circles.

Thanks for all the info, I appreciate it. As for the part above, I was referring to your position in your feed list, not my physical location.
