Google search not working

Hi, have an Samsung galaxy ace
2 issues
Google search has stopped working but I receive gmail YouTube

The internal phone memory is 186 mb and I have a 12 gb external sd card

Most applications go ONLY to phone memory and withinn a few apps memory is full and this prevents even SMS from coming
Heard somewhere of rooting
If not any other solution
Samsung has bad support for its customers
So plz guys in forum help me out

If any one wants to buy buy the new Samsung galaxy plus where Samsung has silently rectified the second problem
