Did you update to 4.1.2? Many, including me, have found that doing a factory/data reset after the update and re-installing apps, not restoring from a backup, makes everything work well. I only restored bookmarks, and data from games from Titanium.

first try Apps>Google search. clear data and cache. force stop. try to search.

if no joy, uninstall update, clear data and cache. if it works, great--you can always try to reinstall the update. if update breaks it again, uninstall...

There's no need to factory reset for such a minor update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2

This issue seems to have come up on the last Search update. It is being reported on lots of forums. Seems to affect Jelly Bean devices. My Bionic, ICS, works fine on voice searches bringing up webpages.

Erase the update? Forget it. It has been handled.
