Google Search Stops

I have a Samsung 10.1 note I recently bought. When I launch the Google App after a few seconds the screen goes black and says "unfortunately, google search has stoped". I've removed and reinstalled w/o any luck. Ideas?

Haha, same thing for me. I posted that on Google Plus and many other people are having the same problem. I have no idea what to do about it. Hopefully samsung will update this.

Thank you shan9 I had tried everything without rooting and was gonna take it back. My wife had gotten hers right after I got mine,, hers worked mine didn't,, started kies connected my tablet and let it update and everything is great.. I forgot all about kies, thanks :-)

The firmware update through KIES does fix this. You can also fix it by uninstalling any updates to Google Search. Something in the last update to both Google Search and Google Plus causes this problem on the Note 10.1.

Thank's!!

However, I haven't done this yet. Samsung recommended I back up, and have the device fully charged before I install the update. They said that there "could" be some loss of data or something along those lines while updating. So, with that small risk, I will update after finals, just in case... because if I lose my S Note Note's, you might as well give me an F.

Make sure you uninstall all updates, and uncheck auto update. That way you will have to manually update everything ( a pain in the butt, but your search will work)
