Google search suggestions ignore my previous searchse

I am very predictable in my search behavior, but Google search on Kit Kat doesn't seem to take notice of this.

For instance, I search "Boston Cetlics" many times a day. It's pretty much never the case that I type the letter "b" without intending to search on Boston Celtics.

But Google search on my Nexus 5 NEVER suggests Boston Celtics. Instead it ALWAYS suggests Best Buy and other such like, which I have NEVER searched for.

Is there any way to get Kit Kat Google Search to change this and to actually pay attention to what I typically search for?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, are you doing this in Google Now, or the search bar at the top of the homescreen?
If you slide over to Now, are there any cards for the Celtics? Have you checked them off in Settings - Sports?
Interesting, as I'm always getting previous searches in Now even if I don't type any letter!

I am doing the search from the home screen. Google Now does have Boston Celtics cards. For awhile, the search screen was automatically showing my previous searches before I even typed a letter, but now it is blank until I type a b, and then it shows a list of generic choices starting with best buy.

When you say "settings - sports" I'm not sure where to find that. If I scroll to the bottom of Google Now, I click the three dots and can choose "Settings" there. Is that what you mean? Because I don't see any "sports" choice under that.

But there are a number of other common searches that I do and none of them appear as suggestions on Google Search.

BTW I'm using Opera instead of Chrome because Chrome can't reflow text. Don't know if that might be part of the problem.

Thanks for your help!

Mike
