Help Google search widget missing from widgets

[Mike Devine]

I have inadvertently deleted my Google search widget from my home screen. I know how to place a widget on the home screen by holding my finger in an open area and selecting widgets. However, the Google search Widget is not on of my available widget options. How do I get this widget back?

maybe try deleting the google search app and then grab it again from the playstore?
