Google Search widget

Is there a way to disable the pre-search thing on this? I use the widget as a way to start my browser by typing in a search or a website without dolphin not putting in spaces, and a few updates back the app added in its own mini browser. But if you don't tap any links/ pics that show up, the whole search is lost if I go to the home screen.

I just want to be able to type in a search or website url and then have it open my browser like it used to do.

Try Custom ICS Search widget mate. Not sure if its what u lukin4 tho

Promising, but I am put off by the ads. But it inspired me to find an old version of the app that simply doesn't have the... pre-browser thing.
