Google seems defective

Version 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows desktop 2004
When Chrome tries to open a link in mail, the chrome icon blinks to open that link. And when I click on it ,it does open that link.
When I use any other browser it just click on the link and it directly opens to the site.
I have been waiting to no avail. I reinstalled. I reset.
Is Google aware of this or is it on my end? If on my end, what can I do?

"Windows desktop 2004"??
What exactly is that, a version of XP or something?

I don't use Windows or Chrome myself, so probably can't help you.

It is l about Chrome which I thought was Android.

The version of Chrome that you are using is for the Windows environment in which I assume you are using it as you mention Windows desk top in your OP.

This not the Android version which is for the Android phone and tablet environment and has the version number 83.0.4103.106 and is, I believe, 32-bit, not 64-bit.

Version 83.0.4103.106 is in Play Store and is on my Android devices.

Hi @PDN, I've just read your initial post again, and am a little puzzled by your comment 'it does open that link'. If it does open the link, what exactly is the problem? Or did you mean to say 'it doesn't open the link' which would fit with your later comment about 'waiting to no avail'?

:thinking::)

It does open the link but clicking on the link itself within the mail should take me directly to the site I should not have to have To click on the blinking browser in order to open the siteIt works perfectly well with edge
