Long story short, I dropped my DX out in the rain a week or two ago. It was pouring rain, it was left in the grass. by the time I figured out I had dropped my phone, I was like "*, my phone has gotta be toast". I searched the grass near where I thought I dropped it and lo and behold I see the green blinking notification light of the phone. All was well, much to my surprise. it was a little funky the first couple hours, but now everything functions 100% the same as it did before.... until yesterday. BTW, I am running MIUI.
I tried using Google SkyMap yesterday and it didn't seem to work right. when I rotated and moved my phone around, the image on screen did not move really smoothly or more than 90*. it just overall didn't feel like it had before.
I installed a compass app to see which direction was which (I am in an Astronomy class and I needed to know orientation). the compass similarly was not functioning correctly.
The Google Navigation app can find me fine on the map, which is good.
So what I'm asking is, could the water damage have effected the GPS sensor?
