Help google sky map problem/navagaion issue?

when i was at the verizon store i uploaded google sky maps.... why? well i have the driod x and we had an issue after an update that screwed up the directions east was west etc... the google sky map program was all jumpy and not accurate at all.... its fixed now btw

I noticed the same experiance on the driod razr maxx in the store.... Can anyone else confirm this problem?
 
Mine also. Made sure the GPS was ON and it jumped all over and never would show the correct "sky". Worked fine on my Droid 1. Hopefully some more folk here in this forum will check their Maxx's to see if they get the same behavior with Google Sky.
 
My Photon suffered from a similar issue with an early build. It was subsequently corrected, as I'm sure this will be. Didn't someone say this problem was fixed in the leaked newer build?

Also, doesn't anyone test this stuff BEFORE release? I can't see how something this big makes it into a released build.
 
Navigating (at least with Waze) seems fine. I calibrated my compass via GPS Status last night--no help with Google Maps or Google Sky Map.

I'm not sweating this--it will be fixed quickly, I'm certain.
 
Navigation with Google maps works fine, just the Google Sky is wonky. As to the fix, we all have to wait. Most likely it will be the next upgrade in couple of months for now.......RT
 
After the OTA Verizon update, Google Sky Map is working better now. I will try the app over the next couple to days/nights to determine if it is properly working......Cheers......RT
 
FIXED! Smooth as butter... This phone is now the best performer I've yet seen with Google Sky Map. No jitter and rock-solid positioning--fantastic!
