Google Sky Map

G'day all.

Having a bit of a problem with this app. It worked fine with no problems on my HTC Desire, but I upgraded to a Sensation and now the sky map is constantly moving, like it's wiggling, unable to decide where it should be displaying, arguing with itself, even when left flat on a table and untouched. When in hand it amplifies natural hand unsteadiness to such a degree it makes it almost impossible to see anything, but it also throws in a great uncertainty over whether what you're looking at is what you're seeing on the screen or if it's going to zip off and wobble away somewhere else, thus rendering it useless.

Has anyone else experienced this or know what to do to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Not sure what to do about it, but mine never would display the right coordinates even if I entered them manually. Weather apps are having no trouble with GPS and time, and other astronomy apps do have the coordinates right, so the info is on the phone. Google sky just isn't recognizing it. I deleted it.
Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S 4g.

It sounds like a problem with your compass. Try recalibrating it. Some people say that their compass gets stuck and it will start working again by tapping the phone lightly on a hard surface.

Don't listen to those people... there's no moving/mechanical parts in a digital/electronic compass to unstick.

The Nexus S does this, as does my LG 2X... the common thing between these 3 phones? A gyroscope... I reckon SkyMaps can't handle them properly.
