Google Store

Hey all!

This is a great forum, I can tell I'm really gonna be using it a ton.

Anyway, I'm getting my Galaxy Note 2 next week and I had a question. I heard a lot of people tell me the Google Store is littered with malware. Is this true? And if it is true, is is easily fixable by doing a hard reset?

Also what is the difference between Google Store and the Samsung App Store?

Google scans all the apps, so as long as you dont download apps anywhere else then google play, you will be fine. Its a good thing to look at the amount of downloads, reviews and the permissions of the apps you download.

The samsung app store is the same as google play, except that it is made by samsung. They have the same apps, with a few exceptions. sometimes they are doing discounts, so then its interesting to havr a look at the samsung appstore.

And when in doubt, you can always ask here about a game or app to get feedback.
If an app needs more permissions than it needs this should be a red flag. You can find a lot of info about App permissions and malware here. Android permissions explained, security tips, and avoiding malware
